PlayGround Dance Project is a choreographic flash incubator that provides five choreographers and fifteen dancers the opportunity to create new works in under a week. PlayGround supports artistic exploration and promotes risk-taking, collaborative processes, and experimental dancemaking.
PlayGround was launched in Summer 2023 by Founder and Director, Roxanne Gray, and has become an integral part of our local Salt Lake City community. This year’s show is sponsored by 801 Salon, and funded by the Salt Lake City Arts Council, the ACE Mayor’s Fund, and The Blocks.
Teaching with Dance Class for Humans*

Donation-based class series hosted in the Westminister Performing Arts Center! No registration needed, simply show up and sign-in.
Class 1 will be groovy, grimy, and expressive! Expect a sassy warmup, beats-driven floorwork, and fiery combo at the end, with lots of Boy Harsher, Sextile, and other underground EDM artists. Level: Int/Adv Contemporary.
Class 2 will be silly, explorative, and narrative-driven. Expect a layering of improvisational tasks and exploration of your mind's "sandbox"! All aboard the train at Imagination Station. This class will be accessible to all levels of movement, and can be approached from any angle you choose.

In my ballet class, we redefine our personal relationships with ballet. We work functionally and approach ballet as a meditative practice of full-body harmony, musicality, and joy. Prepare to giggle, breathe audibly, take up space, and do whatever the f*ck you want.
To register, Venmo @fleetcoop with the date of the workshop. $30 for the full day (Trinity Martin and Kelsey Smock will be teaching two other classes) or $18 drop-in.
Check out our other workshop on June 21st at Summit Dance Project! Same start time and instructions for registration. Class with Alex Seager, Hailey Nilson, and Shelby Taylor.
