GNAW with Fleet Co-op - The Pearl on Main, SLC showing.
Work by Alex Seager, Shelby Taylor & Hailey Nelson, and Sawyer Player. A visceral triptych exploring rage, reckoning, and resilience, created by Fleet Cooperative. In Dirt Between the Teeth, we unravel the toxic mythology of the American West—once worshipped, now rotting in our mouths. Teeth Agape breaks the binary, exposing the laborious scream of existence within a machine that was never meant for us. Finally, The Skin of Our Teeth is a fierce ode to survival through community. Together, these works chew through myth, system, and self, baring our teeth to what’s real.
Will be performed again for FREE on July 16th at 7pm! Don't miss your last chance to see it before we head to NYC! Tickets here.
Follow the Chords so Sweetly - In collaboration with Maeve Friedman, Bly Wallentine, and Erik Louis Maloy.
This work explores queer dreaming: yearning for the queer domestic life, the privilege to sleep and dream peacefully, and dreaming of queer love in all forms. Many queer folks share experiences of living in our community’s past and present pain. "Dreaming” of a peaceful future is a luxury, requiring a quiet mind and safe sleep. Making this dream, which is continuously denied and destroyed, tangible through celebratory performance is an act of resistance. Some may desire equity in access to traditional domesticity, while others dream of altering the meaning of “domesticity” entirely. There is room for all in the dream world.
